Actually, Armstrong has gotten a lot better. Nothing what they were even 2
years ago.... |

That would be good if the new stuff is what is breaking down. I have a
customer with one that in the last 5 years has gone through 4 boards, and 2
ignitors. |

Actually it is a gas furnace... the other Armstrong stuff that I have run
across, wasn't all that great either... usually hacked in by the lowest
bidder. Your milage may vary. |

I don't know anything about their gas furnaces. I know 95% of all of the oil
furnaces we put in are Armstrong... |

You have to admit Steve;
It's that "hacking" that give us more service work. The correct stuff seems
to have few problems. Go figure.

Yeah, oil is a different animal. Armstrong (oil) furnaces are pretty tough.
Never have problems with them. Their other stuff is just so-so. I like
Carrier heat pumps and A/Cs, but would install one of their oil furnaces.
Trane (American Standard) oil furnaces are made by Thermopride and are
basically built like a tank....
